Advanced Magic Circle Mat Workout Here is a wonderful continuing education workshop to enjoy Joseph Pilates' traditional Mat exercise sequence using the Magic Circle at every skill level. Fundamentals of using and teaching the Magic Circle will briefly be reviewed. Like the regular Mat workout, the focus will be on practicing full range of motion, increasing efficient flowing movement between exercises, as well as articulating and refining the shape of each exercise with the Magic Circle. 3. The Cadillac Participants seeking continuing education certification will review a full range of Cadillac exercises-basic, intermediate, advanced-for improving practice and teaching clients. Specific areas of attention will include placement, range of motion, balance, shape, articulation, flow, and dynamics. We will also review teaching skills, and ways to assist clients improve their technique. Last, it will be instructive examine how exercises on the Cadillac Wall Unit can assist clients understand, and improve, similar exercises in the Pilates Mat workout series, and with other apparatus designed by Joseph Pilates. 4. Wunda Chair Continuing Ed Certificate participants will practice a wide range of Wunda Chair exercises that range from basic, intermediate, to advanced levels. We will also consider how principles of placement, range of motion, balance, shape, articulation, flow, and dynamics relate to Wunda Chair workouts. Teaching skills will be reviewed, as well as ways to assist clients improve their technique. In addition, we discuss how practicing exercises on the Wunda Chair can help clients understand, and improve, exercises on other pieces of equipment. 5. Universal Reformer The advanced or super advanced Pilates Reformer workout will help your body achieve the highest levels of precision, strength, flexibility, and grace and help you achieve your continuing education certificate at the same time!. At this point, increasing efficiency of movement both within and between exercises is essential. A primary goal is to remove extraneous movement. Movement by nature is continuous, so to achieve maximum flow we must minimize unrelated motion. It is important to avoid making unnecessary movements when adjusting the foot bar, spring settings, or straps for each exercise. An additional goal during this strenuous yet wonderfully complex workout is to enhance mental focus. The advanced Pilates workout requires steady discipline, and regular practice. Finally, this advanced Pilates workout will enhance your balance, control and coordination, thereby preparing your body and your mind for the rigorous demands of daily life. 6. The Barrels, Pedipole, Foot Corrector, Magic Square for Head and Toes Participants will review a full range of Small Barrel, Spine Corrector, and High Barrel exercises-basic, intermediate, advanced-for improving practice and teaching. In addition, a few of Joseph Pilates' lesser known apparatus, including the Pedipole, Foot Corrector, and Magic Square for head and toes will be reviewed. Like the other workshops, our focus will be on placement, range of motion, balance, shape, articulation, flow, and dynamics. We will also review teaching skills, and ways to assist clients improve their technique. Last, it will be instructive examine how exercises on the barrels can assist clients understand, and improve, similar exercises in the Pilates Mat workout series, and with other apparatus designed by Joseph Pilates.
